I can’t wait until Sunday! I’ll be talking about Broadcasting Jesus. Kind of has me thinking today though. “What are we slinging?” What we put in is exactly what is going to come out.
Too often we just assume we can keep living our lives the way we always have during the week and put on our “Skinny Jeans” on Sunday with a little extra hair gel and we’re good to go. . . instant Jesus Broadcast. It’s just not so. People are watching us to see how we live! They want to hear what comes out of us. Is it life, or does it still smell like the life we used to live, but never have gotten rid of?
Paul makes it pretty clear in Hebrews 12 that we are to throw off anything that hinders us in this race. So what’s holding you back? 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Hebrews 12:27 remind us that if we are in Christ, we are new creatures. The old things have passed away and new things have come. New things to broadcast! New things to share. Life!
Let’s live from the overflow God brings to our lives. If we keep sipping from the same old dirty coffee pot, not only does it start to taste pretty bad, but our breath is really gonna stink!
